Hello and welcome to Naruru's Patreon page! Thank you for dropping by and taking a look around. I am a ninja kitty, as shown in my profile pic :D I love to draw illustrations - specifically anime, manga and realism. I want to be a mangaka! 

I have been drawing since I was very little, but picked up manga style during 7th or 8th grade thanks to Digimon!

Wait, a mangaka? Please tell me more (:3c Teehee!

Since my junior high school years, my dream was to become a mangaka - a comic artist in Japan. I want to share stories to my wonderful readers and put a smile on their face. As I got better at drawing manga style, I started to focus on creating my online manga, Tiger Punch - right to left the Japanese way - during my senior year high school. Even though it was my first time writing a manga story, I was still poor at creating a structured plot line, creative dialogues and such. I have never been to Japan thus I created an imaginary scene as far as I could do for my story since it takes place in Japan (obviously for any manga enthusiast lol!). Nevertheless, it was an awesome experience and I had a great time learning it for a few years, until I had put on hiatus for more than 2 years. I regret my actions and I want to go back to my beloved manga (; ; ...

As you can see on the right, this was back in high school years, I was still learning how to draw anatomy and ... stuff!?

Why should you pledge Naruru?

Currently I am in Japan, 3 years and going teaching English (a stable job for natives at the moment). My drawing skills have improved - majored in fine arts during university days - and learnt a great deal on manga writing, story telling and drawing impossible scenes on my own. I am still reaching for my dreams by persevering and never giving up. However, as a freelance illustrator it's quite competitive in the market and it is difficult to make a living as an artist in general. Working as an English teacher in Japan is great, but it is not my ideal career for a lifetime.

I want to make a living as a comic artist, concept artist and a freelance illustrator abroad. So, in order to bring my dream come true, my first goal is to re-create Tiger Punch and self-publish it; be available worldwide and at participating events. In the meantime, I'd like your utmost support in me for reaching my goals, believing in me, and, in return, reward you for your effort and generosity.
