Milestone Goals
Website
Create a website with useful information about my surgeries and visiting Thailand.
From surgeons and costs to catching taxis and places to eat. There will also be guest stories and info from trans friends who have visited Thailand for top surgery, breast augmentation, or vaginoplasty, etc.

Trans documentations
All previous, plus: Add a section to the website with simple, easy to follow, up to date, step by step instructions for a legal name change, obtaining a birth certificate, getting a passport with correct gender marker from scratch, and how to get a bank account.
Local services
All previous, plus: Research and list on the website trans and intersex friendly essential services in Wellington - from healthcare providers, clinics, counsellors, and psychologists, to emergency accommodation shelters to feminist women’s organisations - I will be asking hard hitting questions and sussing out who has our backs.
Create a forum to receive this same info from other places in Aotearoa, and begin building a nationwide directory for trans and intersex friendly services.

Policy
All previous, plus: Collaborate and write a piece of generic policy on trans and intersex inclusiveness, which can be downloaded and given to any organisation as a suggestion to improve their human rights and diversity. This will also be given to any local service providers who were not gender minority friendly.
Diversity statement
All previous, plus: Collaboratively write a generic Diversity Statement - which is corporate speak for a safer spaces policy of sorts, which recognises the value of marginalised demographics and ensures a commitment to non-discrimination, identifying and removing the company's barriers to employment, and actively seeking to employ persons of said named demographics in non-tolkenising percentages and roles.
This can then be downloaded and given to any progressive business.
In fact, these are proven to increase productivity and are standard practice in some countries.

Sex guide for people who are and/or date trans and intersex people
Yeah, that's right.
All previous, plus: Collaboratively write, illustrate, and create a warm, humorous, and thoroughly nuanced and informative guide to having sex as and/or with transfeminine, transmasculine, and intersex people.
You've never seen a resource like this before, it will be the most informative and heart warming read of the decade - a staple and a must read for all gender minorities and the people who love us world wide.

Surgery info worldwide
All previous, plus: Research and list information which is relevant to trans people in Aotearoa, about different surgeons around the world, and the surgeries they perform, both for transfeminine and for transmasculine people.
Diversity training
All previous, plus: Create a diversity training course, which can be
offered as a 2 day course/workshop to businesses, service providers, and
organisations so that they might improve their understandings of
diverse issues and remove barriers to gender minorities and other
minorities' access.
Community education
All previous, plus: Collaboratively create a 12 week community education course. The course will be tailored to the needs of the community, based on feedback sought and provided by gender minority communities.

Hey folks,
I'll tell you a bit about who I am, which will help to explain what my zines will be about, why I'm creating them, and what your money will do for myself and other transgender people in Aotearoa - it's much bigger than zines so please read on, and check out the milestone funding goals on the left hand side.
Who is this 'Neon' person anyway?
Neon is my nom de plume, and I'm a Lower class, Homo-flexible, politically Queer, Hard femme, Takataapui Taahine (Non-binary, Transgender person) of Ngati Maniapoto and Ngapuhi, in Aotearoa. Pronouns you can use for me are They/them/their.
I’ve worked in factories, in anarchist collectives, and in 8 inch heels with crops, gas masks, canes and electricity.
I currently work for NZPC: Sex Workers' Collective, which is the largest (peer led) sex workers' organisation in Aotearoa - for all sex workers of all genders in every sector.
NZPC is also the (unofficial) largest transgender organisation in Aotearoa too.
What is this fund raiser for?
The zines will be raising funds towards the ultimate goal - to create a sustainable peer led national organisation for gender minorities in Aotearoa.
This will be the only official LGBTQIA+ org in Aotearoa which is specifically for gender minorities (not a ''rainbow'' umbrella), and explicitly led by trans people of colour, and which holds at it's heart and prioritises the needs of the most at risk of discrimination and violence in our communities - working class trans women of colour - and works outward from there.
We are not typically the ones whose needs get prioritised or funded, but you can change that.
As the TWOCC says: "Solidarity is informed, intentional, sustainable acts of service. Solidarity is [standing behind minorities, having our backs,] funding our movement''
If we can make these funding goals happen together, it will mean that I can take a day or more every week to work on creating a website with information for transgender and other gender minorities in Aotearoa, which will be a robust, simple, easy to use and up to date resource for assisting gender minorities to access essential services.
The 'Milestone goals' section on the left has more details.
As we reach more funding goals, I will be able to collaboratively research, create, and share on the website many tools and resources for eliminating ignorance, stigma, and discrimination.
Future goals:
To secure adequate funding, and to set up peer run drop in centres across Aotearoa, with staff who reflect our priority communities, where folks can come for information, support, and assistance.
The drop in centres will include emergency temporary accommodation for trans and intersex people who are at risk, and be hooked up with food and clothing distribution networks.
Are you capable of organising 'a sustainable peer led national organisation for gender minorities in Aotearoa?'
Questions of mana and credibility are impossible for the individual to answer, but here are just a few of the projects, events, and things I've collaboratively organised with other amazing people in my communities.
ZINES!
The zines themselves will cover a bunch of different topics: each one will have a general theme which will probably deviate (because I'm like that ). The zines will be haphazard and rambling, and full of funny stories, rants, gems, pictures, and guest writings by other excellent folks of various genders and experiences.
How does a pledge work?
Your pledge is a recurring donation per zine, and you can cap outgoing donations per month, so you never go over your budget no matter how many zines come out (hint – probably less than one per month!). Click on the donate button and you can enter your maximum per month.
You can also cancel your pledge at any time.
Who can pledge/become a backer/patron?
As well as individuals and whanau, I fully encourage your organisation, group, or business to consider becoming a backer and pledging a regular donation.
Whether you pledge $5 per zine/month, or $500 per zine/month, your donation will go toward making Aotearoa the first country in the world to fully eliminate stigma and discrimination against gender minorities, and we will stop at nothing less.
Warmest gratitude, your contribution and support means so much.

Questions of mana and credibility are impossible for the individual to answer, but here are just a few of the projects, events, and things I've collaboratively organised with other amazing people in my communities.
- Anarcha feminist hui 2010
- I helped out with/wrote policies etc for Decolonise Your Mind 2012
- I co-wrote this Safer Spaces Policy in 2013 for 128 Radical Social Center, which I’ve been co-running since early 2009
- I co-organised this anti rape culture solidarity demo in about 1 week. That was a busy week!
- I co-ordinated The Trans* Body Reclamation Project
- I was the founder of Queer Trans* Fight Club
- This one was one of my favourite projects, c.l.i.t.fest 2013: a trans* and cis women centred event
- I was one of the organisers of the Never forget: Oct 15th solidarity tour
- I work for the NZPC: Sex Workers’ Collective, a peer run organisation for the rights and well being of sex workers.
- I've done, and I do, a lot of trans community work - from running online forums to helping people change their names, get passports, access welfare, find emergency accommodation and housing, and connecting people with people
- I'm currently co-organising a youth decol hui for people of colour who are sexuality and gender minorities, for 2015
- I am almost done collaboratively completing 'Doing it in style', Aotearoa's first comprehensive sex workers guide book for gender minorities, full of wise words from our community, info on keeping safe while working, hints and tips for managing clients, and all kinds of awesome and useful information.
