Greetings,
Some of you may know me from my work in defending video games against corrupt media outlets, some from the human rights advocacy I do, and others from my talks about nerd culture in general. But there is something else I am very passionate about, 3D Art. After seeing movies in the late 80’s and early 90’s like Terminator 2, The Abyss, and Lawnmower Man, I started having a strong interest in 3D art. Watching movies like The Mind’s Eye Series made the interest grow even more. It wasn’t until I started making my own 3D art in College when I got my hands on the very first version of Poser, that it really took off. The program was simplistic, but let me make my own 3D art. Over the years my skills have improved as have the programs and the computers that they run on. The art has become more complex and the images created more realistic. You can create almost anything. I even started helping content creators test their products, to ensure quality control.

I always considered 3D a form of art, but it wasn’t until recently that I saw how 3D art was treated. In some places, 3D artists are called nothing more than “button press art” creators. The irony is, photography had the same growing pains to be accepted as a form of legitimate art. On one popular art site, where they have dozens of daily recognized pieces of art, photoshop manipulations of photographs get more recognition than actual 3D art. Because of this poor treatment I created Ambient Dimension, a website by a 3D artist, for 3D artists. It allows people to post anything they want, within legal bounds, and people only see the art they want to. Self controlled filtering, you only see what you want to see, so you can only be offended by art if you choose to let yourself be.

But because of life making things difficult for me, I have less and less time to devote to the website, and to making my own 3D art, as I need to look for other employment to pay bills, including ones for the website itself, that are ever increasing. As such, I am hoping that fans of 3D art, and maybe even a fan of my art, will be able to help and support my Patreon. There are many perks to being a patron, including seeing images that no one else sees, lifetime charter access to Ambient Dimension, custom commissioned images, and even having the image printed and shipped to you as a poster. There are stretch goals that will increase the number of images I create a month, make short animations, maybe even start a comic. And if I can get enough support, I can move to a better computer for rendering, and make even more incredible images.

Not only that, the computer I have is fine for doing simple work, but is not suited for high quality or more quantity of 3D art.  For this, I will need a much more powerful computer, with a much beefier video card.  I have estimated the computer I would need to be around $3000 for the hardware I am looking at, and that is only a mid range computer for 3D, but has a lot of room to expand it later.  An additional $1000 would be needed for the high end software to make truly stunning artwork.

Below you will find a link to my gallery on Ambient Dimension. It shows my non-adult art for all those who aren’t registered, and those who register on the site, are 18 or older, and set their account to see adult works, can see my adult art as well. Don’t worry, registration is free, that’s one of the reasons Ambient Dimension needs your help, it doesn’t make any money off the people who post there. It exists for the artists to showcase, a virtual portfolio.  Patrons will need to register to see the higher resolution images, as they are posted there.

Nephanor's Portfolio

I like doing pinup style art, but can do other types when the mood strikes me.  I have a wide selection of fantasy, modern, sci-fi, even steampunk themed models already, both human and non-human alike.  I have a particular fondness for elves, dragons and aliens, and have even mixed and matched themes, making modern elves or dragons with aliens.

But I can’t do this without help. As much as I hate asking for help, I am doing it, and I am offering to make art for you in order to make it worth your money. Please, if you can, help me. And if not, perhaps you know someone who loves 3D art who can. It would be very much appreciated.

Please realize, that while this comic does have a political point to it, the primary purpose is to show that 3D art is serious and should be taken as serious.  I understand that some people may not agree with the politics of the comic itself, but the money is not just for the comic, but also to help keep the 3D website running.  But what about the comic itself?

The Devil’s Contract

Succubus. To those that know the name, it means lust, desire, passion and above all else, sex. Every hundred or so years, a succubus comes to the mortal reals to feed on the desire and passion of the races. Elves, humans, even the fae. She feeds not only on the act of sex itself, but the desire of those who lust for her, particularly the men. Their lust for her feeds her. But this time around, the succubus was not prepared. She found women willing and open to her charms, but many men were not. They looked at an attractive woman such as herself and she felt something else from them: fear, disgust, and pity. The lust and desire had been contained, and soon she found out why.

A movement called feminism had scared men into a state where they were afraid to even feel desire towards women, in case the women used it to bludgeon him, and as such, ceased even thinking of women in this way. The relations between the genders were breaking down, and the more they did, the more that feminism attacked men. The more it shamed them, took from them, demanded from them and then finally, it destroyed them. The succubus saw that the balance of the sexes was completely destroyed. And she was not pleased.

This whole situation compromised her food source. While she could survive on nothing but the desire of women, it was not as fulfilling as the lust of men. And she knew she couldn’t let this happen. Using her charms, and skills of manipulation, negotiation, and understanding of mortal legal systems, she set up a law firm. She found some of the most talented and attractive women she could find for key positions in the law firm, women who also shared her desire to help men feel desire again. This law firm began to fight for men, helping them when the system failed them. A bastion of women using the law to help those who have lost hope. Helping them regain hope for a better tomorrow, hope that there were still women out there that cared for them, and wanted them as more than just a walking wallet. And above all else, she wishes to help men realize that their desires CAN be a reality.

This webcomic looks at the troubles and issues that men face with the changes in gender relations, with a focus on women who want to see them improve. But not just that, this comic will have an overarching story, something that is being planned out at this moment, with long term characters, and dramatic stories. In addition, there will be side comics, something special for patrons who wish to put in a little more into the pot. The comic is of course an adult theme, and sometimes, some characters will….get to know each other better. What happens in these side comics? That will be up to those patrons to decide!

At the moment, only one comic page will be produced a month, as there is way too much work to do, both in writing the story, but research and rendering. As more money for the milestones is reached, more comics can be produced a month, and the adult offshoots will be made when that milestone is reached!
Goals
$0 of $3,500 per month
There are a lot of crazy or super nice people wanting to support me making art.  THANK YOU ALL!
