Hello! Welcome to my Patreon page!

I’m Nicci Peet, a freelance photographer living in Bristol, UK.

If you're here you probably know I've just launched a new documentary project photographing diversity of people working in the UK beer industry predominantly women (cis, trans, genderqueer, woc). There’s a lot of talk and debate lately around sexism and inclusivity. Part of the problem is that there’s a lack of visual representation of the diverse range of women who work in the industry. When I say women working in the industry I don’t just mean brewers. If you have a passion for beer there are so many different routes into the industry. Not everyone is a maker and I want people to see a variety of roles - marketing, bar managers, farmers, writers, festival organisers - we have so many people that make this industry tick.

Who even are you?

Good question. After graduation from a Photojournalism degree I cut my teeth working in beer bars. I decided to merge my two passions and Kickstarted a project - Caught on the Hop - photographing female brewers in New Zealand back in 2014. Since then I've worked as a freelance photographer but have kept close ties to the industry I love and have worked for a number of beer publications and breweries. Last year I collaborated with Bristol Beer Week and documented brewers in Bristol for an exhibition that ran throughout the beer week.

Check out my work on my website, Instagram and Twitter!

So why Patreon?

At the moment I’m self funding but this will help cover travel costs and accommodation. It will mean that I can cut down on commissioned work to focus on this project and give it the full attention it deserves. Your contribution will help shed light on this topic until its conclusion.

I’m only planning on running this Patreon until the project is finished

How it works

If you like my work and this project, and you want to help me, just choose how much you want to pledge per month (even $2 makes a difference!) and select some cool perks like exclusive access to the project, monthly newsletters, postcards and limited edition prints.
