Welcome to my world! <3

I'm an artist from England, living in the countryside with my Hubby Mark and our Dalmatian's Ellie and Skye. I started out doing various crafts and taking part in many craft shows over the years. The crafts I did evolved over time until I was at a place where I couldn't wait any longer to be a painter. It's something I've dreamed of doing for a long time and I finally took the leap in 2007.

I started out being inspired by primitive & vintage styles which have evolved into mostly nature and character artwork which I seem to be drawn to the most. I still have some vintage flair in my paintings, whether it be in the colours or the ageing effects I like to add. You may have known me as The Vintage Artist, and whilst I loved the name, it no longer seemed to fit.

In 2013 I wrote and published my first children's book 'The Adventures of Snuggle Bunny' and since then my work has definitely taken a new turn.
I love illustration and I also love to paint folky landscapes and animals and so I knew it was time to go by my name as an artist. So now you can find me by Niki Jackson Art & Illustration.

With this change of direction comes the planning for my next book and new artwork. I feel I now have more room to spread my wings and offer the best of both worlds, which includes offering patrons exclusive art videos, live hangouts and one to one art advice via Patreon. This will be a unique opportunity to connect with you and share what I have learnt over the years as a professional artist.
