About
Thanks Linus, I'm hoping to shape my destiny by creating two shows, OS.ALT and Geekbuzz. A big tech, open source, gaming, android and Linux enthusiast here. I've been a one woman army for 6 years now, and I need your help.

James Flinders A fine effort but as a responsible Internet based reviewer I feel you must include the IIIMOQ or Inevitably Ill Informed Moral Outrage Quotient as part of your calculations.

Jackson Thomas I'm thinking prelude to A Tell-tale Heart... (not that your story leads there) The day leading up to that unwanted but inevitable madness (Perfect, with the needed fuck you to being his desire for restful sleep)

Daniel R Harlow You have had better readings but the story makes up for it a bit. It felt like tales from the crypt influence. Anything with calm, lifeless and ominous antagonists is freaky. Like dolls. Clown face dolls. People with the habit of collecting clown face dolls have serious issues. I'm a great judge of character when it comes to serious issues. Doll clowns: Dead giveaway. Me and pumpkin seeds go way back. When I was just a child, my cousin and I were asked to leave a girl friend's house by her mother because my cousin and I explained how to tell if it was a boy of girl pumpkin by its' seeds while we were carving together. It was traumatic. For the pumpkin. To this day it still has no clue what gender it was, we didn't get to finish. I don't like pumpkin seeds. I don't like them and think they taste disgusting. So this story gets me. I woulda smashed a coffee cup against a wall if I found pumpkin seeds floating in it. I'm cringing just thinking about slimy transgender bland pumpkin floaties in my hangover salvation. Yeah, um, no. Then you might here about how abusive I was to that poor coffee cup ten years later. Because people have no real lives; they have bad habits, issues, and facsimile image reputation things that they shape while blaming oblivious fools for the first two characteristics they have in order to justify the third. But the way I see it, I had every right to smash that cup. I have pumpkin issues, clearly brought on by pumpkins. Don't tell no one. I need a kitty to snuggle now. Or a puppy. Or even a freakin' gerbil for all I care. Now I'm temporarily needy, for like five minutes. Fantastic. Decades worth of abusive and needy reputation now, just because I enjoyed your story. And rodent fixations. Great. I'll just settle for looking up something blurple on pintrist.

Nixie I'm so proud that you opened up to us. You are truly an amazing person, Matt and don't forget to keep us in the loop. We care -- we are all: "Occasionally a bit fucked up by sadness." And we share that pain/joy/etc. together. That should be the future of content creation.. and creators, like us. Much love goes out to you and yours, you can do it! :) ~ Nix

Vukith Not been a patreon of you for a while due to differences of politics but no one deserves this in your life, Just wanted to drop a note to say good luck and hope all goes well with your girlfriend. Keep the positive attitude about it and I hope you both beat it together.

Matt Greenland I've loved your stuff for a while and I hope I help balance the people who left. The last thing you need when you are facing things like this are money worries. Get through it and we will be with you on the other side. All the best. Matt

Haggard I can understand the mentality of wanting to retain familiarity and being apprehensive towards change, but I can not for the life of me grasp the hostility towards the idea of more diversity. You like games, right, so if we forget the social justice definition and focus solely on how this would affect games; first of all, the ones you like will not disappear. Those games sell millions of copies. Your demographic will continue being targeted. Second, diversity = variety. This is purely a good thing. More creative people with more ideas, viewpoints and input. More games. Better games, better stories, different, fresher. The opposition towards progress on this level is so frustrating. And on that other level, gross and lacking in empathy. There's no good reason why anyone should want to stand in the way of this. Ditto for Sarkeesian's videos. You may disagree and argue her points and examples, in fact that seems to be half the point of them. Creating a dialog about these themes, tones, representations, nuances etc. and hopefully arriving at a place where developers consider these things, consequently resulting in better written games. Why must things be so stupid?

Mark Hanson I have become a sponger because of this. I've grown increasingly more tired of engaging in discussion with the gaming community at large because of my opinions over equality and inclusion. I genuinely want to see good things come from this medium because I love it. There is so much potential to be a universal medium as input and agency know no linguistic boundaries. But I often feel defeated by the very community I want to feel part of. Take my money, and be lovely. We need more of it.

Scott Mack It looks like there's a high demand for it, with over 150k people enrolled. I'm glad to see the interest is that high. I hope it continues to grow. The following article discusses how Open Source is the future of learning. http://www.linuxfoundation.org/news-media/blogs/browse/2014/07/edx-ceo-anant-agarwal-open-source-future-education

Mathias This is a take it at your own pace class, usually the edx courses have deadlines but not this one! I am already on Chapter 8 there hasn't been any challenges thus far, pretty basic now to offer some of these courses would be nice! http://training.linuxfoundation.org/linux-courses/development-training

Nixie We all put boxes around ourselves. I blame it on our complex minds - our ability to think analytically and deeply can sometimes freak us out, or stop us from doing things. Thanks so much for saying that inspire you to challenge yourself, that is one of the truest compliments a person can give. :-)
