Hey! My name is Alison and I make moody electro-pop tracks as NOSILA. I live in Portland Oregon with my two small dogs (the jerks) and my husband John. I teach music, mostly voice, during the week and I love to get outdoors on the weekends.

WHY PATREON?
For years I made folk music under my given name. Over a year ago, struggling with burnout, I quit releasing music officially. However, soon after I "quit" I started writing electropop tracks from home just for fun. One thing led to another and, as it turns out, I'm not done with making music quite yet.

Through this pivot, I rediscovered creative freedom. However, this time I'm not interested in the lone wolf approach to music. Afterall that's what burned me out the first time! This is why I'm excited about Patreon; my hope is that it facilitates collaboration, accountability, and support.

I like to think of Patreon as a subscription service meets fundraising platform. It's great for patrons who want to "subscribe" to exclusive content as well as patrons who simply want to show support in a tangible way (oh hey mom).

WHAT'S BEHIND THE SUBSCRIPTION WALL?
Patreon makes unlocking access to exclusive content super easy. You can expect:

1. One demo/song a month
2. One patrons-only cover
3. Artist Diary (audio chat, similar to a podcast--RSS available for your podcast feed)

Other things I may provide (depending on my mood) are things like early releases, news, media, scratch tracks, pictures, etc.

WHEN WILL I BE CHARGED?
You will only be charged per song I release; demo or official MP3. To be clear, I'll never release more than one song a month. In fact, there may be months I won't release anything!

So this is how the finances work out per year: if you decide to pledge $5 and I release one song every month for the next 12 months, that works out to be a total of $60 a year at the very most.

THANK YOU
Whatever brought you here, thankful for you. Even if you decide not to become a Patron today. I'm thankful for your attention, support, and that you are taking time for me at all. This whole making art thing has always been a grand experiment, and probably always will be. I'm excited Patreon has made it possible for us to experiment together! Let's make beautiful things!
