About

I’m best known as the world’s first Lit Idol. Really.

It's true. Several years ago I was crowned the world's first Lit Idol at the London Book Fair in the UK. Within days, I got a publishing deal with HarperCollinsCanada for my first novel, After Helen, before it was even finished. It went on to receive rave reviews in the US, Canada, and the British Isles. Heady stuff.

Although I got my big break in London, England, I live in London, Canada. That's why I go by the moniker Not That London Writer.

Creative morsels and other literary appetizers

It can be a bit of a wait between my literary novels. That's why I release fresh content every month. Readers who support me with a subscription on Patreon get access to a whole lot of material other people don't see.

Twitter fiction. Famous book titles with one letter missing. Glimpses behind the scenes. Creative insights. Some of it's thoughtful. Some of it's just for fun.

Curious? You can see a few samples on my Patreon sample page.

Special bonus for new subscribers

Subscribe now and get a free copy of Tweet-Sized Tales Vol. 1 as a welcome gift. It's a special ebook compilation of old-school Twitter Fiction that I wrote during my first 2 years on Patreon.

So, if you're a Lit Idol, why do you need my support?

You may assume that, as Lit Idol, I'm set for life, I've made the literary big-time, and I make gobs of money as a writer. Well, it may surprise you to learn that I earn only a modest amount from my books. I still have a day job. Your subscription goes directly to helping me write more novels.

I've already got a killer idea for my fourth novel. This will help me carve out time to do background research.
