Hey there! I'm Isaiah Olson, and I make Nuclear Delight, a pseudo-biographical webcomic that started back in 2009. I'd like to keep drawing comics into the foreseeable future, and with your help I can invest all of my time into doing just that!

If you don't already know how this works, Patreon is a tool that allows kind-hearted patrons (you) to help fund creative people with their projects (me). But rather than dropping a single donation toward a set goal, Patreon works on a plan of multiple small donations regularly over an extended period of time. Tossing in a couple of bucks a month is a great way to show continued support for a creator over the duration of however long they continue producing their work. Nuclear Delight will always be free for everyone, but if you enjoy it and have dollars to spare, I'd be incredibly grateful for your help.

With your assistance, I can stop stressing about living expenses and holding down a separate and distracting job and focus my energy on drawing comics for you! Whether it's more Nuclear Delight, commissions, merchandise, or one of my other comic ideas, I'd love to have the time and resources to give back and show my appreciation for your patronage with lovely goodies. Help me entertain you!

At this level, you'll be the first to see new strips when they're finished. I'll post comics for my Patreon supporters a full 24 hours before the rest of the internet gets to see!

  • Higher-Res Comics
I draw Nuclear Delight pretty big, then scale it down before slapping it on the web. But at this level, I'll give you access to versions that are at least twice as big as they usually appear on the web so you can get a better look at the character's digital pores.
  • Comic Sketches
I admit that I don't do as much sketching as I should, but what I can offer is the underlying sketch layers of each comic. Take a look at how I plan things out before I apply the finished lines and colors!

  • A Much Better Webcomic
Emily continues her own comic, aptly titled A Much Better Webcomic, which will release new strips for you to see each month.

  • Process GIFs
At this point I'm still a little too uncomfortable to release video recordings of my comic-making process, but at the very least I can throw together an animated GIF to show snapshots of the comic's progress so that you can get a glimpse into how each Nuclear Delight strip is made!
  • Video Chats
For this degree of support, I'll do my best to break through my social awkwardness and do an online group hangout session once a month with everyone at this level of donation. Maybe I can do some doodlin', or you can ask me questions, or we can talk about video games or comics or your dog or something. Anything can happen! We'll have to coordinate between anyone who wants to take part to find days/times that will work out.
Goals
$7 of $500 per creation
At this level, I'd be making a whole bunch more than my website is currently making on ad revenue, so I'd scrap those pesky ads all together.
