If 300 friends and strangers each pledge a buck, this project is give-or-take self-funded (depending on the cost of the studio time and the number of accompanists I bring on board)!
Higher End Studios
A single is a simple thing to do for a studio, and they're happy for the quick, easy dough. With $500/month I could pitch the notion to bigger studios who have less time for philanderers. I don't dilly dally wherever I am, but it's awfully useful to be able to comfortably back oneself up with cash and a bevy of support. This would be amazing.

The Singles Project is a commitment to produce one recording of an original song per month for the rest of my life. I've made a couple of albums and am proud of 'em (available at several distributors including BandCamp). Now that I've been watching the music business for a few years, though, I feel strongly about producing solitary units, pooling them into my overall "Song-ography." Additionally, I'll be mostly working with different studios and accompanists
for each number, broadening my network as well as yours since
each experience will be getting a review on the homepage of OliviaBrownlee.com. I love albums, but because my music is just a teensy bit variegated, Song-ography's a better suit. Eventually (like in 5-20 years or so) there will probably be enough of one kind of song to coordinate into an album, but until those great days, it's up to you to decide what songs you favor.
This method is probably a touch more expensive in the long run, but (and with your help) I intend to work the expense into my monthly life budget. For now the songs will collect on SoundCloud, where you'll be able to listen to, pick out and download them at no cost. Patreon is for those of us with an abiding belief in and passion for Olivia Brownlee Originals coupled with coins to burn.
