About Okanagan Drumming

Hi, thanks for checking out my Patreon page.    My name is Drew.  I've been playing the djembe and dundun for over a decade and along the way I've transcribed over a hundred rhythms based on workshops with master drummers from West Africa.   Some of these workshops were conducted in Canada while others were held in Guinea from 2017 to 2020.

I'm very committed to transcribing West African rhythms and want to disseminate them so that others can learn them.   The usual proviso applies:  notation is not a substitute for learning from a live teacher.   Patreon revenues will go towards seeking out future rhythms to transcribe!  Be sure to scroll down to see and download the free transcriptions Kurabadon (typical of the basic tier),  Fakoly, (typical of the official tier).
Goals
$0 of $2 per rhythm transcription
The initial goal is to upload 100 rhythm transcriptions spread across two tiers.  When I have received $500 from Patrons I'll seek out a new workshop in Guinea at which to learn and notate more rhythms which will be made available here.
