Online events are inherently more accessible, and we plan to continue to host online/hybrid events (film and simultaneously cast in-person events online with someone moderating the chat) even after we go back to in-person events, so we need to continue our Zoom subscription indefinitely. At this support level, you get:
- Direct access to Zoom registration links for monthly events, so you don’t have to go through Eventbrite to register.
- Early access to recorded workshops and readings before they go on YouTube.

Support ASL at Readings and Workshops

Help us ensure that we can continue to make our monthly events more accessible by contributing to our ASL interpretation fees. Our interpreter does an amazing job, and we know interpreting poetry can be particularly challenging. ASL interpreters deserve to be paid for their labor, and we are happy to be able to pay for this service. At this support level, you get:

About Open Mouth Literary Center
Open Mouth Literary Center is a nonprofit literary organization focused on bringing national poets in conversation with writers in our local community in Fayetteville, Arkansas. As an organization run mostly by volunteers (with two part-time staff members) all of the money from our Patreon goes directly toward paying for programming and accessibility. Your support enables us to provide at least 12 readings, 12 generative workshops, 1 festival, and 1 writing retreat—bringing around 50 fresh voices to Northwest Arkansas—per year, and contributes to accessibility in the literary landscape by providing ASL interpretation at our events, paying our staff to gather access materials, and building toward community-supported access.
