About OpenBot

Have you ever had to set up a Discord server, thinking it would be simple, but realized that you need 10 different bots to do what you want? Then you have to spend time configuring each one separately, making sure they don't conflict. It is on this frustration that OpenBot was born.
OpenBot aims to be the one Discord bot to rule them all. How? Not by having a huge developer team, but by letting the community create what they need. What if instead of 10 people working on 10 different bots they could all contribute to 1 bot? That is the dream of OpenBot. OpenBot is 100% open for anyone to create their own commands/features or suggest edits to existing bots through its control panel.
Obviously you don't want every command ever made available for anyone to use. Because of this, OpenBot lets people with the Administrator permission add and remove commands from the server. For example if people abuse a command that shows cat pics, the admin can just remove that command from the server and nobody can use it anymore.
If any bot truly wishes to be used by a large number of people, it must speak their language. That is why OpenBot has support for adding multiple Locales to a command. Speak spanish? Just say `-Open Locale es` or change your language on the website and all commands that support spanish will start speaking spanish to you.
Want a command that OpenBot doesn't provide? Just hop on its control panel and create it. OpenBot provides an API reference on how to create your command here.
For those devs out there shaking their head going "this has got to be the easiest thing in the world to hack, allowing people to submit code", All code submitted in the website is verified by a select team of developers before being integrated into OpenBots Core.
Head to OpenBots support server to suggest features and get help on writing commands.

Important Note: You MUST be in the openbot discord server here in order for the patreon benefits to work, as Patreon's discord integration assigns you a role, which OpenBot then uses to check if you are a supporter

FAQ

Q:
Why do we have a patreon?
A: Servers to run a discord bot aren't free, and rather than making everyone pay to use OpenBot we would rather just those that want to support us pay.

Goals
$0 of $5 per month
This is how much OpenBot's hosting costs per month. When we don't reach this, we lose money on OpenBot, slowing development. When we exceed this OpenBot gets more attention as we don't have to worry about paying for it, so you get more features.
