We GoPro!
We'd do a lot more Video Diaries if we had a dedicated camera. Mostly because we'd be less afraid of losing Evo's iPhone in a waterfall or over the side of a cliff. Hey, you've seen the goofy things he's done. It's only a matter of time. Help us avoid the risk!
Weekly Live Show
We'll do it live! The two of us will get behind the camera every week to a live audience. We'll answer questions, talk about our current adventures and future plans, and probably poke each other. You know, all the stuff we used to do in prior podcasting lives. We'll keep the polished show as-is. This is just a bonus!
Secret (revealed at $500)
Somethings are better left to a mystery. But you'll love it!
2016 Commitment
We travel a lot cheaper than you think. With a guarantee of $2K monthly from our Patreon supporters, we'll promise/commit/guarantee that we'll keep the ShEvo train going around the world for all of 2016!
About
In January of 2015, Evo Terra and Sheila Dee left the "default" lifestyle behind to adopt the digital nomad lifestyle and literally travel the world, experiencing places less traveled, meeting people, and having adventures. They call their style of roaming the world opportunistic traveling. It's not for everyone, to be sure.
"Getting to why we made this leap is a little complicated," says Evo Terra. "In short, our kid is grown and doing quite well as a responsible and mature adult. Over time, we'd divested ourselves of any real property. The work we do (she's an instructional designer and I'm a digital strategist) is the kind of work that we can do from anywhere on the globe. So... why not?"
In lieu of being independently wealthy, they've sold off literally everything they own to build up the runway to afford this excursion. And by literally, they almost mean literally. Save a few personal effects that simply can't be replaced, they cashed out on The Stuff accumulated in over two decades as a couple. TVs, furniture, Sheila's car, Evo's bass guitars... If it didn't fit in either of their single suitcases or laptop bags, it's not traveling with them.
Because they've been on the bleeding edge of digital innovation since their early 20s, they're documenting their new lives as they live it, letting armchair travelers the world over live vicariously through them. This experiential style of travel blends nicely with their catch-as-catch-can style of destination "planning" to create a unique experience for their listeners, readers, watchers and followers on various social properties. Join them on their journey!

We're Evo & Sheila, and we'd like to tell you a story...
In January of 2015, we sold everything, quit our jobs, and took off for a life of living abroad. We've been capturing our experiences with highly-produced podcasts, short and even shorter videos compelling photography, and story-focused articles since that time. And we're having an absolute blast.
And if you haven't heard our show, here's how you can fix that:
iTunes | StitcherBut... We need your help!
In lieu of being independently wealthy, we've come up with a novel way to afford this journey. Postcards from us, from abroad. In short, you pick your pledge level, and we'll send you a postcard from wherever we happen to be each and every month. You get a little something to show off to your friends. We get carpel tunnel. Oh, and a little cash to help the ShEvo train going for as long as possible.
Some questions you might be asking:
"Why should we pay you to live like globe-hopping fat cats?"
We're traveling on the cheap, going where opportunity takes us. We're not splurging on 5-star resorts or first-class travel every weekend. Instead, we use housesitting to virtually eliminate our lodging bills. We fly budget airlines, trains, busses, and any other way to get from one destination to another. And we try not to move around a lot. So while some travel bloggers rack up as many countries and locations as they can, we're fans of slow travel to odd locations.
"So why do you need the money?"
Because even though we don't pay for lodging much of the time, we still have to pay for food. And those super cheap trips we try and get? They cost us real money. We're living much more cheaply than we used to be, but we still spend money ever month.
"If enough don't pay up, you're going to quit producing cool stuff?"
Not at all. We're committed to cranking out the current content. We're not holding it hostage, sticking it behind a paywall, or have any intention of taking it away in the future. If you know us, you know that's not our style. We'll keep doing what we're doing. Your support lets us do it longer. And could unlock some secret projects as particular milestones are reached.
In short, you're helping us do more, for longer. If that sounds like something you want to support, we'd greatly appreciate it!
