Hi there!

Thank you for visiting my patreon page.

Who am I and who would you be supporting?

My name's Ryan and I create broken software. My main focus is on web based C# solutions and I love creating software that helps other people perform tasks easier and more elegant, because noone enjoys spending more time on tedious tasks than required.

What kind of projects would I be helping out with with my money?

For the vast part, you'd be supporting the development of software that's free to use for everyone, sometimes open source and that hopefully makes everyones day a whole lot easier!

An going project of mine for the past year for example is the Workshop Crawler. The workshop crawler allows content creators that decide to upload their modifications to the Steam Workshop to scan all available mods on the workshop for reuploads of their original IP, making it a lot easier to fight IP rights violations on a larger scale.
The workshop crawler is currently a "closed ecosystem" as I'd say, as the only way to use it is through the official website, it also requires you to have your item uploaded to the workshop to find reuploads. I wish to change that in the near future, opening up the database through a public and free API with which everyone can scan the database for occurences of hashes. This will open up many ways for people to make more use of this project, for example creating automated software to notify you of reuploads of your IP, or filing automatic DMCAs for you!

But things cost money..

For the past years, I've been paying for my servers and other required infrastructure out of my own pocket. This has slowly drained me out, as I'm still a applied computer science student, and it goes without saying that being a student does not leave you in the best financial situation.

With this patreon, I hope to be able to reduce my monthly costs on servers and other things required. Your support would ensure that projects like the workshop crawler can stay online and be developed further in the near future.

Any support is greatly appreciated!
