Orion Racers is a team started by Ashish Jaiswal, based in Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering, Bangalore. We design, manufacture, fabricate and race our trike and participate in the ASME HPVC Challenge held annually in India.
We started in 2017 as a brainchild of three human powered vehicle fanatics and today, we are a 31 member team from 3 different streams of engineering who share a common goal - to design and build the best trike possible.
In our very first attempt in 2018, we ranked 3rd in designing in the entire Asia Pacific region after qualifying as one of the 40 teams selected out of 1500 teams that applied. This year also we have qualified as one of the 40 teams and have been placed 20th in our vehicle report. We will compete in VIT, Vellore in February, 2019.
We hope to set new benchmark for us by winning the women's speed event. We need your support to achieve better results and bring about new innovations.
There are 1 billion human powered vehicles worldwide, which highly outnumbers the number of automobiles. As the scarcity of gasoline will ever increase, human powered vehicles will take over once again.
Help Orion Racers win ASME HPVC 2019!
