Hey there! We're Chris & Steph, and "Out of the Dust" is the flag we fly. It's the name of our duo, but it also encompasses all of the ministry we're able to do through events, speaking, concerts, and the telling of our marriage redemption story (divorced and remarried to each other!). By joining us and becoming a patron you'll be rewarded for your support and allow us to keep doing the ministry that people have told us has saved their marriages, given hope where there was none, and breathed life into dead places.

WHY PATREON (PAY-TREE-ON)?

Out of the Dust is our mission and our full-time livelihood. It has always been ministry first, but surprise! Ministry isn't synonymous with financial stability. Like the thousands of ministries around the world that have teams of supporters, we want you to be on team OOTD and have something to show for it! We love Patreon not only because it lets "musicianaries" like us gather our community of supporters to help fund our mission, but also because it lets us give rewards and build deeper connections with those who believe in what we do. Patreon is different than Kickstarter, GoFundMe, and PledgeMusic because it affords 1,000's of artists and creatives continual stability in the volatile and inconsistent life of a touring artist. This pathway allows us to chase ideas, explore new ventures (think podcasts & conferences) and even say "yes" to ministering opportunities that would've previously been financially unviable. It's also a way to help insulate us and keep us afloat during events (like pandemics!) that threaten our security. Not even a global pandemic can stop us, so think of it like contributing to us in advance for creative content and gaining access to a new partnership with us.

WHY OUT OF THE DUST?

We've lost count of the number of times people have reminded us about the power our story of God's redemption holds...and that's why we keep going. It's our mission and it's people like you who encourage us not to stop. Our music and story have carried us all the way to Fox News, The 700 Club, FamilyLife Today, as well as concerts & conferences in over half of the United States. We've seen what we do resonate with people in many different seasons and walking in all kinds of different paths. Whether it's 60 seconds on a radio promo or 6 hours over the course of a weekend conference, we always find a way to infuse our story into what we do. You are helping us continue to carry the torch into the world and light up the darkness with hope and life. We believe we are healed so that we can help others heal.

WHAT'S THIS STORY YOU KEEP MENTIONING?

For those of you whose attention spans are running on fumes, here are the cliff notes! We met on a high school mission trip and were married in college, but by the time we were officially "grown-up" our fledgling marriage was in serious jeopardy. Loss of faith and temptations of freedom led to divorce, but God knew there was more to this story... and He resurrected our dead marriage. HOW WILL WE USE YOUR SUPPORT?

Well, ya know... there's life. We have to keep ourselves and our children alive. Though that's not necessarily our primary goal for this platform. This is fundamentally a pathway for us to do MORE:

- ministry gatherings for folks in the midst of trauma

cover costs for business management
underwrite low paying or pro bono ministry opportunities
allow for more marketing on social media and the web
get our music in front of more people with music promoters (Spotify, etc...)
purchase new equipment to further our own creative development (software, instruments, etc.)
