I draw and draw and draw - and aim to do more projects around art with ink.

Milestone Goals
A small step for mankind - but a huge first step on Patreon!
Whoo! The first step is done. When reaching the amazing milestone of $ 5 I will start posting the pictures for the raffle.
Time to Get Busy!
When this milestone is reached, I can guarantee to create one A5 sized ink study every month (that's 8 x 5 inch). Supporters from $3 on can win these in the raffles.
Double-Busy!
This will give me the opportunity to create these ink studies every two weeks - this means there will be two drawings to win each month.
Sharing what I learned
I'll create a tutorial about ink materials. What pens to use, what papers to buy and which inks work for what purpose. I'll publish it first for my supporters for some time.
Let's Work Together!
With this milestone I can start regular collaborations with other artists on patreon (and beyond).
About
I draw and paint all kinds of stuff since childhood. For a long time I worked as concept artist in the games industry (i.e. for Gears of War and Unreal Tournament). When the crisis hit us, I used it as a opportunity to go into traditional arts, creating oil paintings and watercolors.
Now I'm in Amsterdam, often working as freelance artist on games and illustrations. But I would love to purely concentrate on personal art. Learning - experimenting - creating something exciting. Especially with the medium of ink. Please support me on that path - with a little pledge and feedback and critique if you can.
I'm up for doing collaborations - so shoot me a message if you're too.

I grew up in Germany - always drawing. When it came to earning money I joined the games industry. Eventually I moved to the Netherlands, where I created art for big game projects (like Gears of War and Unreal Tournament). When the crisis hit us, I used it as a opportunity to try new things: I started going into traditional arts. Creating oil paintings and watercolors and showing them at exhibitions in the Netherlands and in Japan.

I'm still in Amsterdam - often working as freelancer, for games and illustrations. And a lot of my time goes into promoting my artworks, talking to galleries or selling on markets. So it is tough to scrape up the time and resources on actually progress, and create detailed, high quality line-artworks. And it's tough to go this path alone.

That's where you come in! When you chip in a little bit to the tip-jar, then I can spend a little more time drawing and sharing what I learned.
And I see this also as a chance to get in better contact with the audience. I don't just wiggle my pictures out on twitter in the hope someone notices, but rather have discussions with people that care about this art.
Patreon makes this easy - and safe, since you can set limits and cancel at any time. If you're not sure how it works, check this short clip by the makers. and patreon's handy FAQ.

One of my goals is to get collaborations going. Maybe with other artists on patreon - so if you're up for it, shoot me a message. Maybe working on an image half-half. Or sharing a topic. This can also go between disciplines - like music or written word.

This isn't just about some drawings. Those are the core this project will turn around - but black and white lineart leaves so much room for experimentation that I want to explore if I get the chance. How about animations? How about adding drawings to 3D objects? How about little games in hand drawn styles? How about real world objects covered in drawings.

But it's not about the look either. I want to push what you can make with this simple medium: how complex can you go with just a line? What feelings can I evoke through patterns of black and white? Can I dissolve any object into patterns? Can I maybe merge rhythm and melody into a drawing? ...
This is a long path ahead of us - and your support and input will be essential.
