About Pablo Dobarro

Hi!

My name is Pablo Dobarro. I'm a 24 years old 3D artist and software developer from Spain. After finishing my computer engineer degree, I started working on my portfolio while developing some tools to improve my workflow.

I've been developing a custom Blender version for quite some time with new tools I need for my work. After publishing those tools in the sculpt-mode-features branch of the Blender repository I noticed that a lot of users are also interested in this new development. This new Blender branch already includes better brushes, a new sculpt/paint cursor, static remeshers, topology automasking, mesh and mask filters, a new vertex paint mode, transform tools for sculpt mode and many other tweaks and improvements. You can download builds and try it on this Patreon and on Graphicall.org

I can't guarantee that this development is going to be in an official Blender release. A lot of decisions need to be made and that does not depend only on me. Despite that, I could keep supporting this branch as long as the community finds it useful. Also, deciding a roadmap or attending feature request at this early stage of development would be impossible, as they need to be carefully planned and the internals of the system are not final.

Furthermore, I would like to make new models and art projects more often. That way I could keep
improving my portfolio while making the tools more stable and polished. I can also share timelapses and more renders of my models.
