The scenario is all too familiar; you find a comic or piece of illustration that is just so good, but the horse is just so bad.  As modern people have lost their connection to horses in everyday life, so have artists.  For many, horses are difficult to access in order to study and reference live models.   That's where I come in--!

As a long-time horseman who's spent an even longer time drawing horses, I wanted to offer some tips and advice on how horses are put-together, and how this knowledge can contribute to better horse art for everyone!  No more broken legs, smushed doughy faces, or impossible poses.  Let's make the art world a better place, one horse at a time.

In addition, every penny raised by this Patreon will go towards saving real-life horses.  This project gives 100% of donations to people and organizations that support and care for thoroughbred racehorses once their racing days are over.  Currently, this Patreon sponsors "Thorin," a 5 year old gelding who needs to retire from racing and get into a forever home.  You can follow his journey at http://thorinoakenhoof.tumblr.com!
