Paper Cat Press is a curated online collection of artist opportunities, creative crowdfunding campaigns, resources, relevant news, and tips for contemporary creators.

On almost every Friday, a Weekly Roundup is posted on PaperCatPress.com. The Weekly Roundup contains job opportunities, open calls, grants, scholarships, awards, and more, best suited for artists, illustrators, animators, comic makers, creative writers, and students.

Occasionally, Paper Cat Press will also share Creator Interviews, list of Webcomic Debuts, and Holiday Gift Guides.

This resource is available for free, but your patronage will ensure that Paper Cat Press's development continues for a long time to come.

The website and domain cost about $110/year, and the soon-to-come Paper Cat PO Box (so I can set up a proper mailing list) will cost $80/year. I also spend at least 8 hours per week checking the content of the newest Weekly Roundup and finding more listings to add.

With more financial assistance, I could justify putting more time into Paper Cat Press. I'd like to regularly post Creator Interviews and pay interviewees, in the short term. I'd also like to explore the possibilities granted by having a dedicated mailing list - sending certain types of opportunities to certain people, or emailing about some opportunities earlier than they appear on the Roundup. It would also be amazing to hire independent writers and cartoonists more regularly so that Paper Cat could also host investigative, contemplative, or funny articles and comics.

Paper Cat Press does not post anything that encourages hatred towards groups or individuals who experience discrimination or marginalization in publishing or society, and strives to share as many paid and inclusive opportunities as possible.

Paper Cat Press is run by Leanna C., a comic artist and illustrator who loves to find and share opportunities and encourage creators.

When I reach 20 patrons per month, I will start the "Creator Interview" series again, post monthly Creator Interviews (either recorded with transcription, or text-only), and pay interviewees $50 for their time.
