A lifeboat was recently discovered floating in the middle of Puget Sound's Marrow Passage. Inside were four skeletons and a gun. But that's not the really interesting part. The really interesting part is the ship that this lifeboat belonged to: The S.S. Cumberland, a passenger vessel that disappeared off the Pacific Northwest coast almost 150 years ago to the day. Where did the lifeboat come from? Who were the people inside? And why did it appear now?

Daisy Bonham is an investigative journalist who wants to find the answers to all of these questions. She is planning to document her search for the truth in the Passage podcast. Her investigation will take her to Port Possession, the Olympic Peninsula port town where the Cumberland last docked. A town with it's own mysterious history...and present.

What Is Passage?:

Passage is an episodic audio drama podcast (such as LimetownThe Message or Tanis). Think of it like a fictionalized version of Serial. Each episode follows the character of Daisy as she delves deeper and deeper into the mystery surrounding the lifeboat, the ship it came from, and the town at the center of the story: Port Possession.

How Many Episodes Are There?:

The plan is to create a series consisting of eight podcast episodes to be released every two weeks beginning some time in August. Episode lengths will vary based on storyline but they're expected to be in the range of 15-25 minutes each.

Who Is Making This?:

Hi, we're Sean Keeley (writer/co-director/producer) and Lucy Pearce (actor/co-director/producer). Sean created and runs the Syracuse sports blog Troy Nunes Is An Absolute Magician and is also an editor with Curbed Seattle, The Comeback and Awful Announcing. He has also written five screenplays (two of which have been optioned by Hollywood directors/producers) and one stageplay. Lucy is an accomplished actress, director, and singer/songwriter. A graduate of Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts and Second City Hollywood, she has performed in London, Los Angeles, Seattle and beyond.

Why Patreon?:

We figure if we're going to try to make a compelling audio drama podcast, we want to do it right. That means renting time at a recording studio with top-of-the-line equipment. That means hiring great actors who should be compensated for their efforts and time. That means investing in the creation of a website and artwork that help enrich the story as listeners follow us down the rabbit hole.

How Can I Help?:

Awesome question, thank you for asking. By pledging to help us create episodes and tell the story we want to tell. The podcast will be free to everyone but Patreon supporters will receive special benefits other listeners won't get. That includes episode scripts, early-listens to upcoming episodes, and bonus information to help enhance the mystery. Depending on the level of support, we might even create a bonus episode or two exclusive to Patreon supporters. No matter what, we won't ever stop appreciating your support and the risk you've taken on us. We take it seriously and we firmly believe we'll make your investment worthwhile.
