Hello! I'm Félix, also called “passcod”

I'm a software developer by trade and by hobby, and also write fiction. I release a lot of my work on the internet for free, for others to use and enjoy. However, all work takes time and effort, and rewards help justify spending so much on it!

What this money will do

As well as my general work in the open-source community around Rust and Node.js, you'll be funding:

My continued work and maintenance of the Notify library. This is an important crate in the Rust ecosystem, as the main way to subscribe to filesystem events in Rust. Software like Alacritty, Cargo Watch, Cargo Web, and MdBook (which is used to generate the official Rust books!) all use it. Notify needs a lot of care and with your support I'll be able to do that more often and effectively.

The fiction I write.

More “Programming Maps”. These are mindmap-like posters of a programming language or technology, designed both for beginners and the more experienced, highlighting what the fundamentals are, and what to explore next. They not only look good, but are tangible representations of technologies that are, in the most part, intangible and hard to grasp in their entirety. You can see the one for JavaScript in this page's header.

What patrons get

There are no Patreon-exclusive rewards at the moment: you're funding my continued work. I'll cross-post updates here about fiction and software, and add occasional commentary.

Thank you <3

All support is appreciated! Even if it's just $1, everything helps.
