About Paul Burston

I’m the author of four non-fiction books and six novels, and the editor of two short story collections. I'm currently working on my seventh novel and a memoir.

I’m the founder of Polari literary salon and the Polari Prize – the UK's only book prize for LGBTQ+ writing. I also run regular creative writing workshops.

A former AIDS activist, I was recently named one of 33 people advancing LGBTQ+ rights around the world by the British Council.
