Hello and thank you for visiting my page!

I have been writing creatively in one form or another since I was very young. By my early twenties I was focused solely on fiction and created at a furious pace. My work received compliments from readers and published authors alike, and even managed to gain interest from a fancy literary agency in New York City. Unfortunately, life got in the way and I had to shelve my writing aspirations in order to pursue a more practical way to support myself and my family. Alas, as Rodney Dangerfield once joked, "to give you an idea how well I was doing when I quit, I was the only one who knew I quit."  Pretty close to the truth.

Today, I am thrilled to share with you that my passion for writing is as strong as ever and I am creating the best work of my life. I dedicate nearly all of my free time to creating quality fiction, and have written more over the past six months than I had in the previous two decades.

I have three short story manuscripts completed, one published and two under consideration.  Losing Weight is a short tale which tells the story of a desperate man who will do whatever it takes to get in shape.  It was previously accepted and published by a small e-magazine.  The Crossing is a short story about a woman who must come to terms with losing the people in her life she loves most. It explores what happens to us all when we die, and how those we leave behind learn to find peace in the loss.  The Crossing is currently under consideration for inclusion in this year's anthology for a major publication.  The Gift is a psychological thriller about a man who discovers a curious, unsettling present on his desk one day.  As he tries to figure out who is behind the surprise, the gifts keep coming and the stakes get dangerous.  The thrilling climax puts a twist on the story that you won't soon forget!  The Gift is currently under consideration by a major publication.

I am also currently at work on the first novel in my Boston and Langley series.  The Push tells the story of Domenic Langley and Maximilian Boston, two life long friends and business partners whose specialty is the acquisition of rare, often controversial, and hard to find artifacts.  They are presented with a strange proposition by a wealthy businessman who hires them to track down a curious item which they are told may not even exist.  The story recounts their travels and explores the tepid and precarious relationship between religion and technology.  The second book in the series, The Pharoah's Breakfast, tells of an eccentric, modern-day socialite who wants to mimic the exotic behavior of a god-like ruler from ancient Egypt.  As they track down the rare and exotic items, Dom and Max find that they were not only kept unaware of the dangers involved, but discover they may be meant to play an unwilling part in the ghastly ritual itself!  The Pharoah's Breakfast is fully outlined and in the first draft stage.

The reason I decided to open this page on Patreon is because I need your help in order to continue working on these great stories and others. Writing is a labor of love as most published works give little in the way of financial return.  Like anyone else, I therefore need to work a regular job as well as create new worlds in order to make ends meet.  Your help here will make it possible for me to spend more time at the keyboard and allow me to produce my best work.

When you make a donation here on Patreon, you will have access to daily updates on the progress of my work, get access to exclusive Q&A events, receive copies of my stories as they are published, and, of course, have my eternal thanks for allowing me the opportunity to continue living my dream.  I could not do what I do without the help of everyone here.

Thank you for taking the time to consider my cause.  A fantastic journey awaits us both!

Sincerely,

Paul
