For real: I spent a good part of my formative years in front of the TV, in a movie theatre seat, and with my ear to the boombox. These were the 70s and 80s -- we didn't have no stinkin' internet or fancy phones; we were lucky if the twisted up phone cord stretched all the way to a closet so we could get a little privacy. We ALSO hopped on one leg to and from school -- backwards, in ten feet of snow, with our Underoos on the outside of our clothes. The point is -- and there is a point -- we Gen Xers grew up during what I think was a special time, and I love to chat about it with friends who can relate to the pop culture and uniqueness of the day.

Then there are the cats. You may be asking, "Will there be cats on this podcast? Will they wear little headphones? Because I'm all in if that's gonna happen." Well, sorry to disappoint, but there will be no cats in tiny headsets; however, I'm totally onboard with asking my cats to participate in such a thing. I'll ask and let you know what they say. But seriously -- I love cats. I've authored two cat humor books (Texts from Mittens and whiskerslist: the kitty classifieds), calendars, and websites. I also regularly write for Catster online and print magazines. Oh, and Mittens is on GoComics! Impressed yet? Hold on. I've been a part of the CatCon team for the last four years -- it's tremendous and you should go. And guess what? I like to talk to my friends about cats.

So ... I decided to launch a podcast where I get to talk with guests about my two favorite subjects: the 70s and 80s + cats. My podcast is called Paws Rewind: Gen X + Cats. It's funny, weird, and totally worth 40 minutes of your time each week. That's right -- you get this cat-tastic groove every Monday on pawsrewindpodcast.com. It's also available to stream on the major outlets.

When you become a patron of Paws Rewind, you're supporting an independent artist -- that's me! Your support helps me continue to serve up heapin' helpings of Paws Rewind each week. There are costs associated with producing such a show plus your patronage helps contribute to my income and keeps my cats in treats. For as little as $1 (plus a small fee) each month, you get access to exclusive content, plus the satisfaction that you're helping bring a little humor and happiness into a world that needs it. Many thanks!
