About

The mission of registered charity PermEco Inc. is to provide education, training and research in Permanently Productive Ecosystems in order to create a more sustainable future for our communities and our planet. PermEco Inc. provides opportunity for people from all backgrounds to learn how to better manage their own and the planet’s resources by providing an education, demonstration and research space at the Kendall Permaculture Farm in Kin Kin, Queensland, and offering services such as advice, education and training in regenerative agriculture, natural grazing methods, permaculture, self sufficiency and community building, leading to better land management practices and more sustainable and resilient communities.

The Kendall Permaculture Farm is an ever evolving art work, with new systems being added all the time. A lot of work goes into the creation and maintenance of the farm's systems, and we would love to share what we do with you on a weekly basis. We have started this Patreon page to enable us to regularly inspire people about what can be done to improve our planet, and we hope to get a financial return from sharing this information with you so that we can add more systems to the Farm.
We would like to add dog proof and other fencing so that we can run more diverse animal systems. We currently only run cows, goats and chickens, and we would like to add sheep, turkeys, geese, ducks and possibly pigs, to improve the animal diversity on our farm. We are continuously planting more diverse plant species, but due to budgetary constraints we have not yet been able to improve our animal diversity.
We have an incredibly extensive and informative website https://permeco.org where you can find out more about what we do. We provide a lot of free information on our website, and we would like to supplement that with more in depth information on a by donation basis, so that we can share our knowledge with you in exchange for funding to help improve and maintain the farm.
We also are involved in creating and teaching music to bring communities together. Percussion and Marimba workshops for absolute beginners are held at the farm and at festivals and events. We also have a marimba band NiZaMi, which will have their debut performance in May (more to follow).
