Facebook Friends With Benefits
$2 or more per month
If each of my ~500 facebook friends pledges $2/month (about the cost of a candy bar), that would put me at almost the federal poverty line! This would likely enable me to do creative and community work full time. This would be life-changing.
Comrade Coffee
$20 or more per month
If you buy two $4 prepared drinks at coffee shops per week, this is about half of what you spend per month on coffee/boba. 50 people pledging $20 per month would get me to the poverty line.
Semi-Tithing
$130 or more per month
If you make $15 an hour and work 40 hours a week, $130 is 5% of your monthly income. Eight pledges at this level would bring me up to the poverty line.
Goals
$575 of $600 per month
$600 per month would allow me to know I'll be able to pay rent every month.
