Pig Placement Network Mission

To promote domesticated pigs as pets. To provide education to pet pig owners, veterinarians, shelters and the general public. To work with animal shelters, humane societies and pet pig owners to rescue unwanted, abused or abandoned pet pigs and place them into new, loving homes.

PPN has found homes for hundreds of miniature pigs relieving overburdened sanctuaries and preventing euthanization.

PPN provides food, shelter, veterinary care plus social needs, attention, and grooming. Staff become familiar with the personality, likes and dislikes of the orphaned pig making it easier to identify the best new home.

PPN resources are limited to caring for 135 pigs. We have been at capacity for years yet the need continues to increase.

PPN works closely with frustrated pig parents that are experiencing difficult behaviors with their pig. Suggesting workable solutions to overcome the obstacle to avoid giving their pig up.

PPN educates prospective homes and has strict adoption policies so new pig parents are ready for the responsibility of caring for their unique needs.

PPN networks with animal control, sanctuaries and rescue organizations to help find new safe homes for stray, confiscated and surrendered pet pigs in their care.

PPN provides after-adoption support… AND If PPN adopted pig parents fail, the pig is returned to PPN Foster Home, Ross Mill Farm.

PPN adopts out over 50 PPN pigs per year from Ross Mill Farm. Another 50 to 60 pigs are adopted by Home to Home placements through the PPN website, a national database of pigs in need. Home to Home placements directly benefit the pig as well as overburdened sanctuaries.

PPN has a website with a database of pigs throughout the country looking for a new home PPN makes it easy to search in your state to find available pigs for adoption. PPN welcomes rescues nationwide to use the database as a free resource to find prospective new parents.

PPN services are FREE to those that are in need.

With your help we can increase the number of pigs that find new homes.

PPN is supported by the Ross Mill Farm staff, sales & services, Donors, Contributors and Patrons. 100% of donations directly benefit the PPN foster pigs.

Pig Placement Network(PPN), founded in 1998 for the purpose of rehoming pet pigs, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, doing business under the umbrella of The Society for the Advancement of Pet Pigs, Inc.
