Ollie Meres Hey Petter! I have to admit, I watched this before I went to bed last night and needless to say after I felt incredibly optimistic about my future prospects in the aviation industry. Bit of a generic question here but it has been troubling me a little bit: I am about halfway through my PPL currently and will be going down the modular route and I'm due to start my ATPL theory this coming August. To boost my chances of getting a Ryanair cadet job at the end of training what should I focus on in training? High ATPL passes etc? When going through the training I do intend on holding one or two outside related jobs as well and also to volunteer. At my given flight school students have the opportunity to do a FI course and become a flight instructor too but I'm hoping to apply for Ryanair straight away. So yeah, can you recommend anything that will strengthen my chances both when training and in my working life when I'm not training. Again, apologies if its too generic haha. Many thanks! Ollie

Petter Hornfeldt Hi Ollie! Great to hear that you liked the video. I am doing this exactly for people in your position. When it comes to special areas you should study in order to land an interview I have not much to contribute with. Make sure you get as good pass-rates as possible in your ATPL and CPL exams and get the training ready. As soon as you have your MCC done then fill in the application and keep your fingers crossed. The benefit of working and keeping the debts to a minimum will become very apparent when you are looking for your first job. It can take a year or so from when you are done until your first interview but it can also take a week. Keep working, there will be jobs available!

Ollie Meres Glad to hear that from someone like you. Yeah, suppose as a modular pilot from a Scottish flight school its the competition from the likes of OAA etc that I'm worried about and that is why I'm going to strive to succeed through flight training. In an interview there is only so much I can say to emphasis my passion for aviation but just want "life experience" alongside it too otherwise I will be treading water if you will. I'm thinking about becoming a Patreon on this page, it looks awesome! Keep up the good work and keep motivating young individuals like me!

Felix Tojal Castro Hi Petter, thank you very much for all the info you've been posting through all this weeks, i find it very interesting, you are doing an awesome work. I thought that maybe you could upload a video about all the cockpit preparation that you do before a flight, as well as what you do when you arrive to your destination, it would be great!

Petter Hornfeldt Hi Felix! I have been thinking of doing this but it requires a bit more work sionce I need access to a Simultor to do it properly. I will see what I can do! Keep spreading the word, by the way and check out my YouTube channel as well.
