About Plant Based Food Share Community Organization

We came together to help ease the burdens brought on by COVID, but we have big dreams.

“I am in shock and wow, can’t thank you enough! Last week was the first fruit in the house in almost two months and this week a miracle. I’m speechless and at midnight I sleep with a huge smile knowing your food box changed us today and I could not be more grateful! 🙏” - PF, family food box recipient, and mother of two autistic children

We gave out our first plant-based food boxes on March 30, 2020 at Cafe Red, in Seattle, WA. Since then, we have given out over 50 - 65 boxes a week that include fresh produce, pantry items, recipes, and prepared foods. We’ve also included necessary items like masks and hand sanitizer. On May 11, we partnered with a local non-profit, The Beet Box, to distribute soil containers, vegetable starts, and seeds.

We believe healthy food should be a right not a privilege. It’s time to reassess what is valuable to us as a community. We believe that sustainability, and health need to be greater priorities to all of us. Dietary and environmental racism needs to stop.

We want to continue our mission of feeding our friends and neighbors in need. We also want to become a community resource for educational classes on: plant-based cooking, gardening, and nutrition. We are pursuing funding to create our very own space, so we can achieve those goals.

Thank you for being a part of our mission, and our journey. We can’t do any of this without you.
