As I'm traveling the country, I'll be passing through hundreds of cities in dozens of states, each with its own unique culture and traditions. I'll collect items that represent those unique cultures and send them to you every month or two, along with a note from me describing its significance in the city or state.
You'll also receive everything in the previous tier.
I'm a completely self-taught photographer, but that doesn't mean I think self-teaching is the best (and definitely not the fastest) way to learn photography. We all have incredible cameras in our pockets these days by way of our phones, and it only takes a little intentionality to learn how to take great photos consistently.
Whether you're just starting out or have been taking photos for years, I'll schedule time to talk through your own goals, do a portfolio review, or anything else related to becoming a better photographer.

My name is Vincent Po, and I’m a photographer and writer.
Getting to spend time with people, whether friends or strangers, has always been why I love photography. Photoshoots are an incredible way to connect with others, and the best ones are less about finding great lighting or backgrounds and more about having genuine conversations.
Portrait of a Young Couple is a project to document couples’ perspectives on life and love across the United States by photographing their weddings for free in exchange for basic needs and permission to tell their stories.
Few events are as important to a couple as their wedding, and how they plan the day says a lot about who they are and what they value. Every decision, from whom they invite to what music they play, reveals part of their unique worldview, and choosing someone to document it all is a huge act of trust.
Flowers wilt and cake gets eaten, but photos become the cornerstone of memory, to be looked at years, decades, or even generations later. By offering to photograph a couple’s wedding for free, something which usually costs thousands of dollars, I hope to gain a natural view into the lives of those different from myself, and to paint a portrait of a young couple that inspires us to become more open and curious towards the people around us.
I created a Patreon for two reasons: to help pay for miscellaneous expenses that will come up during my travels, and to be able to offer others a more detailed view into my journey and my thoughts.
As I'm traveling across the country, I'll be talking to thousands of people in dozens of states, and with all of that traveling will come expenses outside of food and housing, which the proceeds of this Patreon will help fund. Additionally, I think that this will be the adventure of a lifetime, and I want to be able to include others in that adventure.
Thank you in advance!
