About Point Bliss Yoga and Meditation

There are a lot of resources out there to help you create a yoga and meditation practice. So what makes Point Bliss Yoga and Meditation different? It's a combination of many things! First of all, when teaching the physical yoga practice (asana), we focus on props and modifications to make yoga accessible to everyone: the practice does not only belong to the young and able-bodied. 

Rachel, the founder of Point Bliss Yoga and Meditation, is a 500-hour registered yoga teacher and iRest© Level 1 teacher. Additionally, she is currently a graduate student studying clinical mental health. What do all these credentials mean for you? It means I cut through some of the yoga BS (e.g. "truths" that have been passed down as fact with no proof) and focus on what IS scientifically proven about yoga. I teach all eight limbs of yoga, mental health, and how you can take yoga off the mat into the often-stressful real world. 

Finally, we're fun! We believe that the eight limbs of yoga can help you live a more joyful, compassionate, and healthy existence. To do so, we bring these ancient teachings into the present day by linking yoga theory to everything from Star Wars to Cobra Kai.

No matter which membership level you choose, you will have access to teachings, writings, and (soon!) podcast episodes that will show you how yoga can help bring you total wellness. These practices have been transformational in my own life, and I hope they will be in yours as well.

Once I reach $500 per month, we will launch a podcast - The Realists Guide to Embodying Joy. In this podcast, Rachel will breakdown yoga philosophy and mental health research about happiness, and she will interview happy people from a number of fields - all to answer the question, "How can you remain joyous in a world that sometimes sucks?"
