I believe that a major aspect of freedom of speech is the ability to be able to joke about the situations around and find the humour in the ridiculous ways of the establishment. I make socio-political songs and try to promote the act of asking questions and celebrating dissent by letting people sing along to the tunes familiar to them. Quite often these liberal political discussions don’t include the lay man, who doesn’t have a formal political education. These songs give everyone an opportunity to be a part of discussions and express about things that are happening to them or around them.
