Popchops are creating Podcasts

patrons

New episodes fortnightly (mostly).

You must be a fan of the podcast, so hey! Thanks for slipping on over to our Patreon page to get excusive access to all our cool shit. We love bringing episodes to you that shine a spotlight on your passion and ours: pop music. Pick a diva on the right and wait for your rewards to roll in!

We're obsessed with producing Popchops. It means so much to us to be able to have a platform where we can chat intelligently and respectfully about a genre of music that isn't always given a fair go. We have a long list of episodes we want to bring you over the next twelve months, as well as putting on our monthly Popchops club nights in Melbourne, Sydney, London, wherever, so we can party, sing and dance to all our favourite Carly Rae Jepsen songs together. But, our plans to expand mean time and money. We want to deliver you better and additional episodes, merch, live tours, playlists & parties, and we need your help to do that.

Bare in mind lovelies, Patreon is set up to accept US dollars in the form of ongoing monthly pledges, so factor that in!

Love you, mean it.

Rita Ora
$2 or more per month
Your pop career is hanging by a thread. You're capable of singing the odd hit but you keep getting fucked over by famous DJ's & producers, not to mention Tyra. A $2 contribution ensures you stay relevant in the pop community, even though most people are talking about why you were asked to replace Tyra Banks on Top Model. To reward you, you'll get an insincere hug when we see you and tell you your new song is an unequivocal banger.
Gwen Stefani
$4 or more per month
You were born to continuously peroxide your hair, no matter how damaged it gets. You're not getting those sweet The Voice pay checks anymore, so you need to rely on selling actual music (and the occasional Harajuku skirt) to make ends meet. But $4 lets you stay across all the hip beats needed to make a half-decent album in 2017 after your This Is What the Truth Feels Like fiasco. A monthly playlist of the latest pop bangers (as curated by Popchops) will hit your inbox plus all previous rewards.
Charli XCX
$8 or more per month
You're on the up and up as a UK badgurl, and you're still rolling in the royalties from Fancy (you get a larger cut than Iggy because you actually wrote it). And forgoing payment for his appearance in the Boys music video, will.i.am actually paid you to be a part of the line up. As a style maker in experimental pop, $8 earns you the right to pick a themed episode that Popchops will record and dedicate to you, plus all previous rewards.
Lady Gaga
$10 or more per month
You managed to recover from ARTPOP by scoring a role on American Horror Story, which was perfect because the G.U.Y music video put you in serious debt. The Joanne World Tour is selling well despite the fact no one actually appreciates the album's country flair, so you're able to contribute $10 to receive discounted entry to our Popchops parties (Melbourne only) - plus all previous rewards.
Carly Rae Jepsen
$20 or more per month
You seriously have no cash flow. Every cent made on Call Me Maybe went on Tom Hank's fee for the I Really Like You music video. E•MO•TION Side B didn't sell many units because everyone torrented it. You rarely tour. But - your daddy is rich, and your $20 donation gets you a Popchops tee, plus all previous rewards.
