A Perfect Single Day of Pure Comics Work
I will always squeeze comics in around my freelancing, but at this level I can take a whole day to tackle the sorts of challenges that are hard to start and stop between emails or uploads, such as thumbnailing or a full-length script revision.
A Whole Week of Pure, Uninterrupted Comics Work
A whole week of just comics work? This would be incredible. With this sort of singular focus I could really get my head around some of my larger projects, or get a big chunk of something pencilled or inked all in one go.

I'm Rachel Kahn, a self-published comic creator and illustrator. I'm a huge fan of pulp era sword and sorcery stories! I wrote and drew By Crom!, an autobiographical webcomic featuring life advice from Conan the Barbarian, and recently stopped that to focus on telling my own sword and sorcery stories, launching my first chapter of Orin and the Dead Man's Sword last summer.

I love building worlds, telling stories and drawing comics, but because I am also a full time freelance illustrator, it's not always easy to budget the time for projects like Orin. That's why I've decided to make it possible for folks who love the comics I make to help me out with that.

I'm running this as a monthly Patreon because my comic projects take a variety of shapes, from short 5 page stories like the Wolf Neighbours chapters I do with Worlds Without Master, up to the 24 page issues of Orin. This monthly Patreon will help me budget time every month to work on them, which may mean that a new comic comes out monthly when I work on some of the shorter stories, or that it takes a few months of part time comic work to finish another full length issue.

My goal with my comics is to have them be free to read online on Weald Comics. With help from you I can do that faster, make the website better, and share peripheral content like my concept design work, my tape.ly illustrated mix tapes and my art process videos more often!

So how does Patreon work?
A Patreon is somewhere between a subscription and a Kickstarter. As a patron, you make a pledge towards the work I do, but instead of one large amount of money once, Patreon allows you to send a small amount regularly over time. You get to choose your pledge amount, and you can change or cancel it at any time. In thanks for your support, I've put together a list of Patreon-specific perks for different pledge levels, ranging from behind the scenes content to free digital zines and more. Take a look below to see the details!
With your help I can dedicate more and more time to creating these comics and sharing them with everyone!
Thank you so much for reading through my page, I really appreciate it!
