Thank you very much for your patience. We regret having Sheethost offline for this long. Here is what happened:
Sheethost started about eight years ago. It began as small website for a composers to upload their music. Over the years, Sheethost has become the go-to platform for self-publishing sheet music, and the aged technology from eight years ago hit its limits.
We have over 300,000 members, thousands of publications, and daily traffic that is expensive and difficult to keep up with. To continue serving you all, we have invested in newer and faster servers and databases. Transferring the site has taken longer than we expected.
Sheethost currently does not make any money. We do not serve ads, we do not sell your information, we do not charge for membership, and we do not charge for downloads. (This is really rare in 2018.)
With your support, we hope to grow Sheethost into a larger sheet music community that can truly serve you. If you are able to support us here on Patreon, even at $1 per month, it will help us maintain and improve the platform. Thank you for your kindness and help.
