Some of my most well received essays since starting this endeavor—such as Detransition, Desistance, and Disinformation: A Guide for Understanding Transgender Children Debates, Debunking “Trans Women Are Not Women” Arguments, Transgender People and “Biological Sex” Myths, and Transgender Agendas, Social Contagion, Peer Pressure, and Prevalence, to name a few—have tackled pervasive myths and misconceptions that plague trans communities.
Given the popularity of those pieces, plus the never-ending onslaught of misinformation churned out by trans-unaware, trans-suspicious, and trans-antagonistic forces (e.g., social conservatives, TERFS, pathologizing psychologists, media pundits), I’ve decided to create even more essays countering common anti-trans myths and propaganda. Like the previous essays, these will be published on Medium, where they will remain free and accessible for all to read and share with others.
I have a few ideas in mind already. But since I am doing this as part of a public endeavor—one that is made possible thanks to my patrons!—I figured that I should ask y’all for your input: Are there any pervasive anti-trans talking points, myths, propaganda, etc., that would you like me to tackle in a future essay?
Feel free to leave your suggestions in the comment section below, or send me a private message through this platform if you prefer. I can also be reached by email. I cannot guarantee that I will be able to address all of the ideas I receive, but I will definitely add them to my potential “to-do” list. If I need help prioritizing them, perhaps I’ll even create a poll for people here to vote upon?
So suggest away! And once again, thanks again all for your support!
