1936: Arigatou-san - Hiroshi Shimizu :The forgotten master of Japanese Cinema
Hey all!

I have just finished my latest video and it's most likely about a film most people didn't exspect.

Arigatou-san is one of the most touching films I have ever seen. For me it is a very personal film, I live and work in the port of Shimizu, just across the bay from Izu where the film is set. A lot of the small towns in the area still look very similar to what you see in Shimizu's work.

I hope you enjoy it, let me know what you think! Most of Shimizu's films are on YouTube, so check them out.

The video will be going live in a day or two!

Thanks so much to everyone!
