Dandelion Syrup

Here is a readily available syrup that can help you to treat colds, coughs or bronchitis. Easy to make and very useful. 

Dandelion Syrup

400 dandelion flowers put into pan, then pour 3 liters of water over them. Cut 4 oranges and 4 lemons leaving skin on and add to the mix of flowers and water. Cover and leave for 24 hours. After 24 hours, strain the mixture and pour back into a clean pot. Add 2 cups of sugar and cook for 30 minutes. Once the mixture gets thickened enough, transfer to sterilized mason jars. Store in dark, cool place (refrigerator is good) until ready to use. 

To use: Take 1-2 Tablespoons every two hours as needed. Children can take 1 Tablespoon.
