The Council voted to appoint Robin Schick as the Vice Mayor for 2019.

Schick was elected to council in November 2018 and took her seat in January.

Robin grew up in Colonial beach and considers herself very much a Drifter. She graduated as a valedictorian from Colonial Beach High School in 2008. Robin went on to attend The University of Virginia earning a Bachelor's Degree in Science and Architecture.

Robin served in the United States Peace Corps. She was sent to Guatemala without knowing Spanish but quickly learned. She worked in Municipal Development for two and a half years.

While there she worked to create and implement community projects and advocated on behalf of the U.S. for fair and free election processes.

After her time was up she returned to Colonial Beach. Since returning she has served on the Planning Commission for eight years, chairing for three years.

Robin chose to return home to Colonial Beach and invest in her town, because she feels she could have the biggest impact where she grew up.
