We have a couple human studies...
3 grams/day for 16 weeks. Significant improvement in cognitive function. Not permanent as the effects waned 4 weeks after discontinuing supplementation. In addition to the fact that this was placebo-controlled, in my opinion, that suggests this is clearly not a placebo effect.
Significant improvements depression, sleep quality, and quality of life.
I couldn't find a negative study on Lion's Mane. It was even included in Bredesen's comprehensive program to curb cognitive decline.
