250 for the day done.
It felt like 250 random words strung in a row, but 250 words is better than 0 words, no matter how weird.

Tomorrow is busy: a breakfast date, then planning for the weekend. Then I am Jim Gunn's escort/arm candy for the Chancellor's New Year's reception. Thursday, I drive down to Houston for the workshops I am teaching with Chris McKitterick. Friday, a reading at Brazos; Saturday and Sunday, the workshops.

I have been thinking a lot about what I want from 2018, personally. For the last several years, all my defined goals were focused on work and writing: this book, then that book, this story; get a job, get tenure. Most everything else has been left to luck, but perhaps this is the year I should rethink.
