Every day when I take my husband to work I am greeted at the store with piles and piles of candy, aisle after aisle of sugar laden, and blood sugar spiking, pseudo foods (phoods). Sometimes I can hardly believe my eyes at the vast amounts of processed foods, loaded with sugar, high fructose corn syrup, corn sugars, corn oil, canola oil, soybean oil, and wheat, that are the mainstay of many people's diets.
These inflammatory foods are what lie at the root of many illnesses people are experiencing.
I invite you to look at your grocery store shelves with a different set of eyes. Look at the items on the shelves and ask yourself what nutrients this thing provides, or does it even provide any?
Instead of shopping with your eyes and your taste buds, shop with your intellect focused on the nutritional benefits of every bite you intend to ingest. Choose nutrient dense real food instead of all this sugar that bombards you at every turn in the grocery store.
Good luck! It's a Sugar Jungle out there!
