Portland Scribe Comics: EVERYDAY COMIX

For the next several weeks I'll be presenting stuff from deep in the archive- my very first published comics, which appeared in Portland's underground paper The Scribe. This earliest example is from 1972, and appeared the month I turned 13. My memory is that I submitted dozens of strips to the paper around this time, but this appears to be the only one that ran that year.  If THIS is the best of the lot, one can only wonder what the others were like (I sure don't remember). In any case, The Scribe didn't run any other comics by me for another four years. This strip is mostly my work, but the credit line says "Skullflak", which was the name of the comics collective formed by me with my grade school chums Will Spray, Tim Hill, and Mike King. I think Mike helped out on this one. If you find this impossible to read, no worries- I'm also posting a reformatted version with larger panels: https://www.patreon.com/posts/27221475
