Hmmm, that looks suspiciously like the first step of assembling a poetry chapbook!
This is not the ekphrasis book (I'm still working on it!), but another book I've been subconsciously writing for the last two years. There are 23 poems, and the title will be Beak, Full of Tongue. It's a theme of ever-present death and how I deal with it leering at me all the time - from the faces of those I love to the dreams where strangers offer advice.
The goal is to have it edited, assembled, formatted, and ready to order by my birthday - July 26th. There was a bit of low-key buzz in the house as I laid out the poems because the only time I do that is when I'm getting ready to make a book. :)
Wish me luck!!
