#10 Bulkhead

The bulkhead was open, so I climbed out of the dark
Sneakin' up to the bedroom chased the bite out of my bark
Turned down the covers just to pull 'em o'er my head
Lost in the smell of our bed

With no one to eat with, I forgot how to eat
and went back to the shower to wash off the heat
Stumble to the bedroom, pull them covers o'er my head
Lost in the smell of our bed

Heard the front door unlocking and a rush of air come in
but breathing's more like choking on a bottle of my sin
Come up to the bedroom, pull them covers from my head...

We're not the only ones in pain
Still nothing lost and nothing gained

Hate the thought of leaving and I can't abide to stay
Maybe now we're even, maybe it's good for us this way
Bulkhead was open, so I came, so we talked
Maybe now you'll keep the thing locked

Would you kiss my one last time again
We'll both remember now and then
