Inktober 10/15/19 - 10/21/19

It's #inktober!

31 Days 31 Drawings from artists around the world.  You can check out the challenge info and prompts on the official Inktober site.  It was two years ago, when I first attempted to draw every day with ink. Inktober 2017 got me started on this crazy adventure.

I've posted some advice for starting and continuing with #inktober. I'm trying to follow it myself.

We're halfway through Inktober 2019,  and I'm playing dots and circles again.

It's day 16 of #inktober, and I'm still fascinated with drawing with dots. This one turned out looking much like the sea urchins I grew up seeing in Northern California's tidal pools.

Today's official prompt is "ornament", and I started with it in mind. But then I took a tangent and went organic instead.

Today's official drawing prompt is "misfit", and my mind went to square pegs.

After finishing yesterday's drawing, I wanted to explore the pattern in a different way. So today, I tried it with dots. My stippling has room for improvement (and practice), but I'm liking these early results enough to try more of it.

Today's official prompt is "tread", so I decided to draw a random walk. When the walk re-stepped onto the same loci (crossed), I filled in the inner-circle. Granted, it's not truly random. It's more random-ish.

Going completely off-prompt today and playing with curves and circles.
