At twenty one, By Abbigail Thelen

"With the candles setting alight the wine of opportunity; I take my first sip as a member of society rather than a leech. I enter into the world of responsibility, sacrifice, and love while trying to expunge the inner world of people with naïve or dark intentions. This is my re-birth into the depths of adulthood"

(The white flowers reminded me of a veil that is lifted during marriage signifying you being able to consummate with your spouse. Here I meant it to signify The entering of adulthood as the flowers are precariously near the fire. The fire and candles being opportunity. Finally, the wine glass which signifies intoxication a privilege and also a drug only allowed to those of 21, at least in America)
