Excuse the image. For some reason it looks blurry as hell on my end every time I post it on Patreon. The PDF looks much cleaner. As well the print version.
I've been moving more to stating things with Old School Essential stat blocks. I've been fighting it because they take up a lot of room. And secondly it pains me to put THAC0 in my stat block. But since I've been working on Zine Quest, and the hex crawl is using OSE as the ruleset, I figured I better suck it up and get used to it. This is the first adventure with the full blown stat blocks. It wasn't easy working them to fit into a half-page micro-adventure. After some tweaking I think it worked out well.
Sir Reginald is actually a sight in my campaign that is one of several entrances into a mega-dungeon I sometimes grab and work on for a few rooms. None of my players have encountered it yet. Probably because the mega-dungeon has over 350 numbered areas and I've written less than 50. So that's probably why, but it would motivate me to drop a party in there and let them bang into things. See how it runs.
Sir Reginald was a hero. Died. Praised. Forgotten. And worst of all, became what he hated the most. There are a few other adventures that tell bits of Sir Reginald's story, but they haven't been written yet. They are still clanking around my skull. I'm not sure if they'll ever take form, but either way, this the introduction to the end of his story.
I'm still churning away on my Zine Quest zine. It is slow going. I'm hoping to get a first draft done in a few days. I'll share my progress with everyone, and the artwork as it rolls in. Jim Magnusson is helping me with his amazing artwork.
I hope you enjoy this little adventure. I see a group of 2 or 3 adventurers of 2nd level, maybe third level, finding it a challenge. I've worked in lore and useful bits some might find on the critters they slay. Nothing goes to waste!
